Mathilde de Caix-Lurton

Managing Director

Passion… Exploration

As granddaughter of André Lurton, it was difficult to escape the passion for the vine that has driven her family for generations. Mathilde became passionate about wine in her young adulthood. Since then, she has devoted herself entirely to this field: international meetings in South America, Spain and France, as well as cultural, economic, commercial and technical discoveries. She has a thirst to know them, to explore them and she talks about them with the communicative enthusiasm that characterises her.

Anne Neuville

Passion… Interpretation

Originally from Béarn, near the famous Jurançon vineyards, Anne began her career as an oenologist in Cahors. The next step was in Pessac-Léognan, which she loves for its great white wines. She then worked as a cellar master for another Grand Cru Classé, Château de Fieuzal. Anne joined André Lurton Vineyards in 2019. She takes on the role as an orchestra conductor, playing a new symphony each year. She harmonises the land, its people and their know-how, to reveal all the magic this exceptional terroir of this Graves Cru Classé can bring.

This Breton by birth decided to enter viticulture as one enters religion. Passionate about his profession, he is responsible for the daily development of the Château Couhins-Lurton vineyard. He takes on the role of vineyard manager and cellar master. He juggles with talent between ancestral traditions and innovative techniques, in a subtle alchemy, respectful of the terroir of this Grand Cru Classé of Graves. His favourite maxim is: “There is no great wine without a great grape”.

Éric Boissenot

Oenologist consultant for red wines

Passion… Emotion

Eric Boissenot’s motto: “Follow the course, defend the aesthetics of the wines, remain at the service of the terroirs”. Eric is the son of Jacques Boissenot, who was himself one of the collaborators of Professor Emile Peynaud, the father of modern oenology. A DNO holder, Eric is a master of terroirs. He has learnt to love them, to listen to the people who live there, to immerse himself in their know-how, during many years as a consultant oenologist in the Bordeaux region and abroad. He speaks of them with great respect, sensitivity and humility. His wines reflect this sensitivity, which is transformed into a whirlwind of emotions when tasted.
